School meals

Picture
Our school works with Dolce, our new school meal provider. We have a state of the art Kitchen Pod for our school where our wonderful cook prepares our school lunches daily.

The aim of Dolce is to ensure that as many children as possible have access to, and take up the option of having a healthy, tasty hot meal during the school lunch period.

Research suggests that providing a child with a healthy lunchtime meal can increase their performance and enhance their learning abilities in the afternoon.  Dolce wants to harness this and provide high quality, nutritionally-balanced meals which will have a positive effect on pupils’ learning abilities.

This scheme provides our school children with the opportunity to enjoy a healthy, nutritionally-balanced meal, served by caring and well-trained staff. All the meals provided are nutritionally balanced to meet strict Government guidelines and are prepared on the premises using high-quality ingredients by our dedicated staff.

We understand that some children can be fussy eaters or are not used to eating some of the food provided, and so we will be gently encouraging children and young people to try new foods so that they can begin to enjoy all the food on offer.

If you have any questions or comments about the service, you can contact the Dolce staff within your school or phone 07392 870422.

If parents are in receipt of Income Support or Child Tax Credit but do not receive Working Tax Credit and have a taxable income of less than £13,480, they can apply for free school meals for their children.
Please see the School Office for further information.
