Attendance

We open the school gates at 8.45 and are closed at 9.00 The class register is taken at 9.00.

After this time minutes late are recorded. At 9.30 a un-authorised absence is recorded - unless we have a confirmation on parent mail that your child is ill or a absence request form.

Excellent punctuality is important because: When pupils arrive late, they can miss key learning opportunities. Good time keeping is a vital life skill that will help children as they progress through their school life and go out into the wider world. When pupils are late, it can make them feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. When pupils arrive late it can disrupt lessons.

Absence

Please use parent mail to let us know if your child is unwell. 


If a child has diarrhoea and sickness, he/she should not return to school until free of symptoms for 48 hours. The school office has details of symptoms, incubation and exclusion times of the common infectious diseases.
