Children are dropped off in the playground from 8.40am and taken inside by members of staff from 8.50am. School starts at 9.00am when the registers are taken and children will be marked as late after 9:15.
All doors are locked after 9.00am for security purposes. After that time, entry will be via the new Visitor Entrance / School Office and parents are asked to sign the child into school so that registers can be amended. The Reception Gate on the footpath is locked each day from 8.50am until 3.00pm for security reasons, and if you need to come into school please use the new Visitor Entrance further up the footpath.
All pupils have a morning break for 15 minutes. The times are staggered for each Key Stage so everybody has plenty of room to play in. We promote and encourage a healthy eating policy.
Lunchtime is from 12.00pm to 1.15pm. At lunchtime, the children either have one of our hot school meals, freshly-prepared in our kitchen or bring a packed lunch to eat during supervised sittings. Some may go home for lunch if they live locally. Lunchtime is supervised by four dinner supervisors in classrooms and in the playground. Grace is said before children start to eat their lunch. Healthy packed lunches should be brought in a named plastic lunchbox and drinks in leak-proof unbreakable containers. These are stored on shelves in the classroom or cloakroom areas. Please do not send any food in glass containers and do not send fizzy drinks. Children need a serviette on which they can lay out their food. Good table manners are encouraged at all times.
Pupils in Reception and Key Stage 1 have a 15 minute break in the afternoon.
School finishes at 3.30pm for all. If parents are in receipt of Income Support or Child Tax Credit but do not receive Working Tax Credit and have a taxable income of less than £13,480, they can apply for free school meals for their children. Please see the School Office for further information.
