Our Gardening Club wins a prize!
Culworth School's Gardening Club has scooped second prize in a gardening competition to find the best school gardens in Northamptonshire.
The Club is organised by Alan Perkins and meets once a week to run its garden on organic principles on an allotment next to the school. It produces enough crops to make soups, pies, chutney and jam which we hope will be on sale at the Christmas Fair.
The Club was awarded £200 worth of vouchers to help with the running costs of their prize-winning garden.

Open Evening
We held an OPEN EVENING on Tuesday 4th October 2011 for current parents and those considering the school for September 2012.This was a great opportunity for current and prospective parents to visit the school ‘out of hours’, to visit all the classrooms, see the latest classroom technology in action and gain a broader understanding of what we do at the school. Teachers and Governors were also on hand to discuss all aspects of school life. Visitors also got a chance to visit the Mini Meadows Pre-school which is based at the school.
Children perform in a huge orchestraMusicians from Culworth School took part in a fantastic concert at Chenderit School on Tuesday afternoon, the culmination of many workshops across ten schools in our cluster. The Sinfonia ViVa project is designed to encourage children make music together and to give them the experience of being in an orchestra.

Grand School Reunion
Over 200 people came along to our first ever School Reunion on Saturday 11th June. It was a wonderful afternoon of music, dancing, chatting, eating and drinking as pupils from the last century mixed with current pupils to view old school photographs and re-live memories. Sinfonia ViVa visit usMany of the children in our School Orchestra were drafted in to help with a music-making workshop in the School Hall today under the leadership of the Sinfonia ViVa orchestra. The aim of the experience was to bring together gifted and talented KS2 pupils to develop their musical skills - to work creatively together and broaden their musical knowledge.
