Dear Parents,
Music Concert
I would like to congratulate the children who performed their wonderful music pieces for us last week. It was a lovely afternoon and enjoyed by all.
Talent Show
The children were excellent in their behaviour, support and the talents that they shared with everybody. An enjoyable morning was had by both performers and the audience and the School Council raised £66.00 for the Building Fund.
Library Shelves
This is a plea for help – if anyone can come in this week and unscrew and dismantle all the shelves in the library we would be extremely grateful. Another plea for help – could anyone store the dismantled shelves for the summer, possibly in a barn or outhouse? Please come and let me know if you can help as we are now running out of time to clear the school before the builders move in.
Heavy Lifting Help
One more plea for help – there are some heavy items to move out of the staff room (cooker, fridge, etc.) and from upstairs in the Old School House and we would be very grateful for muscle-power at 2pm this Friday and at 11.30am this Saturday. If you intend to come on the Saturday morning you might want to phone Richard Lingard on 01295 760878 beforehand just in case the work was completed on the Friday afternoon.
Lost Property
Please come and see if any of the items in the lost property box belong to your child. Anything left by the end of Friday will be disposed of.
Leavers’ Service
This will be held at 1pm on Friday, 23rd July in the church to say goodbye to our Year 6 children who are leaving us to go on to their senior schools. I am sure you will join me in wishing them well for their future. You are all invited to attend the service and may take the children home after the service.
Finally, the governors, staff and I would like to thank you for all the support you have given us this year. We wish you a happy summer holiday and look forward to seeing you on Friday, 3rd September ready for the new term.
With best wishes
Sue Lawrence
