History

Culworth Primary School is a Church of England school situated in the centre of the village of Culworth near Banbury.

The school dates back to 1789 when Meriel D’Anvers, the spinster daughter of a local prominent land owning family, commissioned the building of the original school house.

The school has been extended over the years and now provides a stimulating environment in which to learn. The playground is an area we have developed recently adding an amphitheatre and activity trial. We also use the Glebe, which is a grassed area next to the school, and the cricket field in the village for outdoor activities.
